CRC Frequently Asked Questions
- WFU students seeking support with one another from their identified form of addiction. This includes substance use (i.e. alcohol, cannabis, etc.) as well as process/activity addictions (gambling, shopping, etc.)
- Those who don’t consider themselves in recovery but are supportive are welcomed and will have opportunities to collaborate and engage.
Short answer is No. The CRC is for WFU students looking for support for any form of addiction. This includes recovery from substance use (i.e. alcohol, etc.) as well as process/activity addictions (gambling, food, etc.)
- There are no minimum recovery/sober time requirements to join Deacs in Recovery.
- You can fill out our membership form below!
- We have a general interest form that helps you connect with us to see if the CRC is the right fit for you!
- Yes! Whether you are an ally, friend, or family member, you can be involved!
- We have our Deacs Recovery Ally program, which can be requested for your organization.
- If you are a family member and/or friend seeking resources, we have on-campus resources and off-campus resources on our website
- You can always support our initiatives and/or support by giving!
- Yes, the CRC has the Recovery Lounge, located right beside Deacon Health. This space additionally serves as:
- A meeting space
- A safe space to talk
- A place to study
- A place to relax and reflect
- A place to have a cup of coffee
- A place to find peers who understand
- Connecting with other students in recovery
- Opportunities to be involved in fun, sober events (on- and off-campus)
- Recovery Support
- Access to the Recovery Lounge
